Hulland Ward Parish Council
wish to object to the above application.
Reasons for objection and concerns about the application:
·
The scale of the proposed development on an area of 17 hectares
and 32,000 panels will have a very negative impact on a small rural community,
in particular on the adjacent residents and the environment
·
Neighbouring properties have not been consulted
about the proposals, as had been intimated when OST Energy met with the Parish
Council
·
The scale of the development should be
considerably scaled down to reduce the visual impact on all close neighbours,
particularly Carr Hall Farm
·
Beehives should not erected on the site as one
close neighbour has a severe allergy to bees and this could prove to be very
dangerous for the resident concerned if beehives are installed on the site
·
The installation should only be carried out
between 9am and 5 pm during weekdays – no non-social working hours should be
allowed on the site.
·
The grass and ground around the panels should be
maintained to a very high standard and the application should identify very
clearly who is responsible for the upkeep.
·
Clearer environmental benefits of the scheme
should be identified. The small number
of bird boxes already mentioned is insufficient in relation to the scale of the
project.
·
The route for HGVs to and from the site should
be via Brailsford and the A52, not Smith Hall Lane with a sharp right turn on
to the A517 at the Black Horse junction.
·
The developers should identify clearly what the
noise implications are likely to be for close neighbours, particularly during
the installation process which will involve piling for the solar panels to be
connected. According to the planning
statement this will take at least 6 weeks.
This will affect the nearby livestock on the adjoining land.
